Arizona Corporation Commission Debates 2004
ATIC has been selected by the Citizens Clean Elections Commission to host, and webcast, the 2004 primary and general election debates for candidates for the Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC). The ACC is responsible for activities that have direct impact on economic development and the development of the State of Arizona.
The debates will be presented in front of a live audience at the University of Advancing Technology in Tempe. With the assistance of AVNET and Kino Communications, the debates will also be webcast real time, and later available for on-demand access from the ATIC Web Site following the debates. This will provide statewide access to the debates (more about the debates...)
2002 Gubernatorial and ACC Debates
In 2002 ATIC hosted and webcast forums for candidates for Governor and the Arizona Corporation Commission Based upon our research we believe that we were the first in the country to webcast a live statewide debate. It was certainly the first in Arizona.

Broadband Deployment Strategy
The ATIC Government Affairs Committee has been working with the Strategic Plan Committee to formulate plans and strategies to accelerate deployment of a statewide advanced telecommunications infrastructure that will insure availability of redundant advanced telecommunications services and affordable broadband Internet access throughout the State.
The strategy is to remove barriers and develop public policies and market-driven strategies that will encourage competition, private-sector investment in, and rapid deployment of advanced telecommunications services and affordable broadband Internet access throughout the State. Where no market-driven solution can be found, we need to identify ways in which communities and the State can assist to "fill-in" the gaps.
